Tent Sauna Heater

Ukko Tent Sauna Heater
This portable wood burning heater can be applied to different situations:
- Cooking unit – to make your tea, coffee or meal on the go
- Heating unit – to keep you warm in evenings and nights
- Sauna heater – you can even use it to heat your sauna (up to 8 cubic meters. Sauna rocks supplied separately – 5kg)
It is a truly multi-functional light weight heater that comes complete with carry bag and chimney. The mini stove has a built-in spark suppressor which makes it totally safe to use.
Full INOX 750 stainless steel body for long life durability.
Ukko Saunas™ heaters which have the INOX marking are manufactured from refractory high-alloy stainless steel with the chromium content varied from 13% to 18% over the entire steel body.
In Stainless Steel an essential component is chromium. The percentage of chromium dictates the quality of the Stainless Steel. A mix of up to 5.5% is standard for Stainless Steel. Over 5.5% is considered to be high-alloy and over 13% is refractory. We only use Stainless Steel with a chromium content of between 13% and 18%.
What this means in layman’s terms is that the Stainless Steel will maintain it’s structure at temperatures up 750 degrees Celsius or even as high as 900 degrees Celsius, whereas most steel can only go to about 400 degrees Celsius. Typically your heater will have an internal temperature of only about 200 degrees Celsius though this will vary depending on the type of wood, the amount used and several other factors.
Technical Specs:
- Maximum volume of the heated room (m3) – 8
- Weight with carry bag (kg) – 13.5
- Chimney diameter (mm) – 80
- Stove dimensions (mm) – [D]550 x [W]230 x [H]570

Ukko Tent Sauna in use
Attached are 2 photos of our tent sauna. We use it next to our spa which we keep cold. We have also put in a floor made up out of decking. The sauna works very well and has already had plenty of use…
My wife is Finnish. The sauna has passed her scrutiny as a genuine Finnish style sauna and we have all been enjoying it. I have found the tent and the stove both to be of high quality.
It was quite easy to figure out how to set it up. We are experienced campers but have never seen a tent like it. The use of poles inside zips to frame the tent and to shape the door and doorway is quite ingenious. And the easy use of the door by means of an anchored strap is another innovation. Very impressed so far…
We use good quality redgum in the stove and this gives off little smoke and burns very hot.The heat when using water on the rocks would not disappoint anyone… – Chris, Hurstbridge VIC
